Hello Dog and friends!

Hello everyone!
Dog's Flat Stanley just had a great outdoor adventure in the mountains of Tennessee. I drove to Gatlinburg, TN to visit some friends while they were vacationing in the mountains. It was a beautiful drive! There were lots of hills, mountains, and colorful trees. Flat Stanley and I drove through four states: Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee!! We wandered the streets of downtown Gatlinburg on our first day. There were lots of tourist shops, stores, and restaurants. The second day we took a hike into the mountains. The tour guide at the Sugarlands Visitor Center told us it would be a "moderate" hike in terms of difficulty. Well, we discovered it to be much harder.....we would describe it as "difficult!" It certainly was scenic and we were glad we did it in the end. We saw some great views of nature. Flat Stanley really had a good time! I hope everyone is doing well and having a great Spring!!
Until next time....

Hi Lemur and classmates

Flat stanley and I have been very busy we flew into Denver, CO and stayed in downtown for the weekend. Denver is the Capitol of Colorado and is known as the Mile High City because it's elevation is 5,280 feet an exact mile.

Flat Stanley and I went shopping at the 16th Steet Mall which is an all outdoor mall that is over a mile long.

This Flat Stanley waiting for the bus.

We had a great time and Denver and we will report back with more adventures soon!

Hi Turtle and classmates-
I have been enjoying Arizona. Nice, sunny and warm. I hear your temps have been really nice, too.
Tomorrow a bunch of us are going to Mexico. I don't have a passport but Gramma Bonnie said not to worry. I'll bring back a souvenir for you. We are staying at a casino that is kid friendly. It has a lazy river. I'm sure I'll meet some other kids!
Enjoy the rest of your winter and I'll see you next month.

WOW

This weekend was a blast.  First I got to go to Jasxons school and play the Wii with him and Ethan. Then we threw bean bags and got prizes when we made it.  Last we played some laser tag, but that didnt last long, cause the other team was older and much better.  It was really fun.
Sunday we played outside, I hope that the weather was nice there so the school kids got some enery out before coming back to school on Monday.  It was like 70 degrees out and we played without coats for the first ime this year.  Other kids from down the street were at the house, we played basketball and other games.
The family is counting down the days that we go to Pureto Rico (7 days) and they have confimed that I get to go with.  I plan on bringing along alot of suncreen, cause they say that the sun shines every day.
Hope all is well in the classroom and the kids are getting to hear from the other Flat Stanleys.
Love
Tiger

Hello Class!

I traveled in a big semi-truck to Texas to pick up a load of bees!! I started in South Dakota, then went through Nebraska and Kansas before stopping to take a picture in Oklahoma-then on the way to Texas. When I got to Texas, my uncle thought it would be funny to take my picture beside some beehives! There were thousands of them!!! They were crawling all over me!! Did you know that there is only one "boss" of a bee hive and she is called "The Queen Bee"! All of the other bees work for her. After Texas, I helped load the bees to take them to California to pollinate the orchards to make the food grow in the orchards. Now I am traveling to Mississippi with more bees. After that, back to California for another load of bees. I have been a Busy Bee!!!

Jellyfish - Flat Stanley's trip to Oregon/Washington

We have had quite an adventure.
On Feb. 18 Aunt Faye and myself flew to Portland, Or to help her daughter move to Burbank, Ca. Christel works for the shuttle company at the airport so Tiffany and Joshua her children drove to the airport to pick up me and their Grammy.  They parked at the shuttle company and a van took them over to the airport to pick up their Grammy and me with a white van and a yellow caution light flashing.  They then took us to the car and we drove to Vancouver, Wa. to start the moving process.  We had to do all the work as Christel had to work in Burbank, Ca. and on Feb. 29, Aunt Faye, Christel, Joshua and Oreo the cat left with a u-haul and a trailer to pull the car.  We had lots of rainy weather so we had to drive with caution.  When we got to Medford, Or. we were told it was snowing on Mt Shasta so we spent an extra day.  The trip was very stressful as Aunt Faye and Christel were unable to back up the u-haul with a trailer so we had to find wide spaces to park.  We then met Uncle Clarence at a Lowe's center so he could drive the u-haul to the apartment.  We unloaded the u-haul and now we are back in Apple Valley, Ca.  getting ready for our next adventure.

Stay tuned,
Flat Stanley and Aunt Faye

jackrabbit

Flat Stanley has been very busy traveling in February. He flew to Denver on a business trip. Then he went by car to Overland Park KS to attend the high school musical "South Pacific". He really liked the music!
Flat Stanley went to a MardiGras celebration on Fat Tuesday in the Old Market of Omaha, NE. He liked the Cajun Music.
Flat Stanley attended the SDSU women's and men's basketball games in the Summit League Tournament in Sioux Falls, SD this past weekend. He watched the championship games on TV in Omaha on Tuesday (yesterday).
Flat Stanley has been going to the weekly knitting classes on Wednesday afternoons. The knitters think Stanley is pretty cool. They have had "family members" of Flat Stanley when their  children had  Flat Stanley projects  in school also. Flat Stanley is pretty well known, it seems.
Flat Stanley has been busy  watching for the robins in Omaha and waiting for Springtime.
Flat Stanley has more travels and adventures coming up.He will return to Denver later this month for business. Plus he will be flying to Washington DC in April for the Cherry Blossoms. Hopefully he can send some photos.

Rhino's uncle in CA!

Flat Stanley got to go on an adventure to Los Angeles, California with Rhino's uncle.  He had a work meeting and decided to take Stanley along for the ride.  After a 4 hour plane ride, they arrived in Los Angeles.  For dinner one night they went to Beverly Hills, and had dinner in a fancy restaurant.  They also walked through town neare the Fox Studios, where they make lots of movies.  Rhino's uncle was hoping they would see some movie stars, but they didn't see any on this trip.  But Flat Stanley got to see lots of palm trees and the Hollywood sign.  It was a busy trip!

Ape goes south.

Hi class.  I just got back from a trip through several states--Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma.  It was 11 hours to get to Enid, OK., but it was fun.  The first picture is taken in Yankton, SD by an old bridge no longer used for cars.   The 2nd picture is at the OK stateline...it was 70 degress...soooo warm!  The 3rd picture is me w/ my friends, walking their grandma's dog, Pasha.  We had nice weather and able to walk outside w/ just a jacket or no jacket at all.  The next 2 pictures are at the YMCA where we went swmming.  If you look closely, you will see that I even went underwater!!  The 6th picture is w/ my friend Katelyn, and her great grandma.  And the last picture is taken at the Nebraska state line.  Again, it was over 70 degrees.   We came back to MN just in time for a snowstorm on Feb. 29th.  We got 12" of snow, and we LOVE playing in the snow, and sledding and snowboarding.  Hope you are all doing well.  Tell Ape to come visit me sometime...and I can't wait to see her new baby!!

Dog's Flat Stanley goes to Atlanta

Hello Dog and classmates-
Since Flat Stanley loves riding in the car, we decided to take him with us on our recent trip to Atlanta, Georgia. It was 2.5 hours each way and we drove around quite a bit while we were in the big city. Flat Stanley seemed to love it and didn't get the least bit car sick like I did. We went to several stores to look at furniture for our new house. Since we spent lots of time in the car, I took of picture of Flat Stanley in his favorite viewing spot.  We'll be moving into our new house soon, so there will be more adventures to come....he might even help us paint! Stay tuned!!
