My second grade class just finished reading the book Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown. We are now starting our Flat Stanley Project by sending our Flat Stanleys on an adventure to different host families around the nation. The purpose of this blog is to easily share Flat Stanley's adventures with students, parents, and host families.

Rhino Hockey Weekend
Well, Flat Stanley has arrived here in Brookfield, Wisconsin! As soon as he arrived here, he had to climb into the car to drive about 5 hours north to a small town called Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. It is a town that is close to the Minnesota border and the Twin Cities. He came with us to watch Rhino's big cousin play in a girls' hockey tournament! You can see her right behind Flat Stanley in the picture. We had a great time even though it was very cold in the hockey rink. Our team didn't win but we had three great games and the girls played really hard. We are so happy to have Flat Stanley with us and can't wait to take him on more adventures!

You may need to make Flat Stanley a warm coat and hat if he continues to go to more hockey games. Ms. Appl's son Cody used to play hockey and she says the ice rinks are very cold!! Tell Rhino's cousin to keep skating hard and her team will win soon!! Rhino says HI and looking forward to seeing more great adventures!!
