My second grade class just finished reading the book Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown. We are now starting our Flat Stanley Project by sending our Flat Stanleys on an adventure to different host families around the nation. The purpose of this blog is to easily share Flat Stanley's adventures with students, parents, and host families.

Flat Stanley goes to MEXICO!
Hello again Cow! Flat Stanley and I just returned from a wonderful trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico. My best friend got married down there over the weekend and Flat Stanley and I had such a FUN time! We wanted to go para-sailing, which where they take you on a boat and harness you up to a kite so you're up in the sky overlooking the ocean, but the weather was just too windy for that. Flat Stanley had just loved playing on the white sandy beaches of the Caribbean though! Here are a few pictures. Hope you're all staying warm back in South Dakota! :)

Hi Leigh -
ReplyDeleteLooks like you and Flat Stanley had a great time at the beach. We still have LOTS of snow here in South Dakota. Thanks for taking Stanley to the beach. I'm sure he liked it.
Talk to ya later.

Dear Leigh,
ReplyDeleteWe think it was probably wise that you and Flat Stanley did NOT go parasailing in the windy weather. Cow thinks that would have been scary! Three members of our class have relatives and friends that have been parasailing before. We could tell it was windy in Mexico by looking at the waves in your pictures! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us!
Love,
